The coin's reverse features a fearsome and altogether magnificent rendering of Chiwoo Cheonwang riding into battle with his sword at the ready. Contrasting textures have been used to highlight the features of the warlord and bring his ornate armour into crisp relief; he is joined, on the reverse, only by his name, 'Chiwoo Cheonwang.'
The obverse of the coin features a close up of Chiwoo Cheonwang's ornate shield, designed to strike fear into the marrow of his opponents. Also on the obverse is the mint's latent security feature and its logo, as well as details of the coin's weight, purity, denominational value, date of issue and country of origin.
